Meet the Team
Lindsay Helton (she/her), MPH, RDN, LDN
Founder and Registered Dietitian
Hi, I'm Lindsay! I'm so glad you are here.
I'm a dietitian passionate about helping others discover a way of eating that is flexible and freeing. I founded the practice in 2019 and am so grateful for the opportunity to help people heal their relationship with food. This practice provides respectful, affirming care to all wanting to find a new way to relate to food and their body.
I have experience working as an eating disorder dietitian at the partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. I practice with a Health at Every Size® philosophy and help clients return to intuitive eating, which means I embrace body diversity and care about why and how you eat much more than just what you eat. I know that food can be a fun and enjoyable part of life, rather than a source of frustration and anxiety. One of the best parts of my job is seeing this transformation take place in the lives of others. In my work I listen, encourage, provide gentle feedback when given permission, and remind clients they are the experts of their own body-sometimes it just takes some digging and exploring to reconnect.

A little about me personally: I've lived in North Carolina my whole life and moved to Charlotte six years ago. I love trying new restaurants and coffee shops, attempting to garden, and spoiling my dog, who you may see if we work together as I work completely via telehealth and she is usually around!

Hi there, my name is Daniela! I’m a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about working with people who want to improve their relationship with food. If eating and body image are taking up more energy than is in line with your values, we would be a great fit together to discover how you can nourish your body with less overthinking and stress. I hope to be alongside you in the ups and downs of your journey and provide a listening ear, support, and gentle feedback and structure when you feel it is needed.
In addition to currently specializing in working with folks recovering from disordered eating and eating disorders, I worked as a clinical dietitian in a hospital for several years. I have experience working with folks with diabetes, GI disorders, cardiovascular issues, and other health conditions. I practice from a weight-inclusive lens and care about our work meeting the needs of your body, identity, and lived experience. I immigrated to the United States from Venezuela with my family when I was a baby. I deeply care for and respect the importance of recognizing cultural foods and eating patterns.
I live in Charlotte, NC and offer in-person and Telehealth sessions. I’m looking forward to connecting with you as you show up to do the brave work of discovering a new way of engaging with food and your body.

Sara Geiger (she/her), MS, RDN, LDN
Registered Dietitian

Hello there! My name is Sara. I’m a fiercely anti-diet Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) specializing in eating disorders.
My journey as a dietitian began at the intersection of nutrition and psychology, as I chose to major in both during my undergraduate career. My commitment to ongoing education and practicing with humility ensures that I provide evidence-based, personalized care to each of my clients. I have eating disorder experience at the intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient levels of care.
Embracing the Health at Every Size and weight-inclusive frameworks, I am dedicated to promoting well-being without promoting weight stigma. My trauma-informed approach focuses on nourishing the body, mind, and spirit, recognizing that true health encompasses a holistic understanding of an individual and their intersectional identities. It is my goal to restore trust in the healthcare provider-client relationship, ensuring that each person feels respected and supported throughout their healing process. Every session with me is an opportunity to explore if your food and exercise behaviors truly align with your core values. I understand that every individual is unique, and I tailor my interventions to address not just nutritional needs but also the emotional and psychological aspects of eating disorders.

I am passionate about educating clients on the basic nutrition skills that we are often expected to know, but never taught in school. If you’re looking for a dietitian to build nutrition self-efficacy with through exposure work, I would be a perfect fit! I enjoy helping clients with menu planning, grocery shopping, and trying new or challenging foods together. These are all things we can do together whether we meet in person or via telehealth.
While my professional life revolves around nutrition and eating disorders, I also value the importance of balance. Outside the office, you can find me baking a new recipe, enjoying live music, strolling a trail, or reading a book with my cat, Chimichanga, by my side. I look forward to working with you at New Paths Nutrition, either in the Charlotte office or through telehealth.
