Dietitian Supervision

I've been a Registered Dietitian and nutrition practice owner for seven years now, which is so hard to believe! Along the way, I've learned so much about myself, running a business, and supporting clients in eating disorder recovery- and I know I still have so much room to grow.

Early on in private practice, I was really flying solo. There were so many moments where I found myself thinking, “I wish I had someone to talk this through with!" Sometimes it was thinking through how to best support a client and other times I had questions about all the behind-the-scenes of running a practice that no one really prepares you for (and that you definitely didn't learn in school).

Supervision has been (and still is!) such an important part of my own growth, and now being a supervisor is one of my favorite hats to wear. I provide supervision to the clinicians here at New Paths Nutrition and to eating disorder dietitians across the country. One of the best parts of my job is getting to support other clinicians and have a front row seat to watch their confidence grow over time.

As clinicians, we spend so much of our time holding space for other people and we need space for ourselves, too. Sometimes work can feel heavy or overwhelming, and it can be helpful to have a place to process it all. If you’re a business owner, it might feel lonely at times without coworkers to bounce ideas off of or debrief with when you're struggling. Then there's the overwhelm that can come with being the clinician, and the CEO, and the marketing department, and the insurance biller all at once.

Having a space to think out loud with someone who gets it can be so helpful. If you need a trusted ear to brainstorm what's next for you or to talk through a sticky situation, I'm here for you.

In supervision and business coaching, we can talk about anything that is on your mind as a dietitian and/or business owner:

  • Specific client cases you'd like support navigating

  • Burnout, boundaries, and prioritizing your own self care

  • Hiring and stepping into a leadership role

  • Putting systems in place to help things run smoothly

  • Getting clear about what you love to do so you can stay engaged and excited about your work

The details

  • We can meet virtually or if you're local to Charlotte or Lake Norman, let's meet up for a coffee and chat in person!

  • Cost: $120 per supervision meeting

  • Commitment: We can meet on an ongoing basis or as-needed, depending on what you are looking for and how much support you want

  • Schedule a discovery call with me if you'd like to chat about working together! Just make a note that you're a clinician looking for supervision and coaching, rather than a nutrition counseling client.
